a weekend to remember

Despite the fact that my camera was mostly left behind amidst the busyness of this past lovely weekend, there is still much to remember:
A sleepover at our house with 6 (!) kids.
Conversations in the gardens with dear friends who came to help us work.
The birth of a sweet, sweet baby boy (not ours, but part of the reason for the 6 kid sleep over!).
The arrival of 4 piglets.
A birthday party for her doll.
Another over-the-top-in-the-rain fun birthday party for a good friend turning 6.
The release of the ducks to their pool and home in the orchard.  (It's good to be a farm duck).
The doctoring of a sick pony with a cold.
And rhubarb crisp.
Ah.

And summer is off...

I lOVE my khaki campbells. looks like you have a male and female--ducklings! Watch out though, they love to eat peas. Can't grow snow peas in the PYO garden anymore and I am mad at them to day bc they DEVOURED 400 linear feet of my sugar snaps. Grrrr
