milestones

Today she said out of the blue, "I'm ready for these training wheels to come off."  And then she went.

In the inexplicable way of sisters, Mae learned to ride her bike at the same age (5), in the exact same week of March as Iris did three years ago.  It was a bit uncanny I must say.  We all got a good giggle out of it.  Iris couldn't have been more proud of Mae today.  Mae couldn't have been more thrilled.

When this girl sets her mind to something there is no stopping her, no matter how wobbly she might be to start.  Oh, we do love to watch her go.
