gratitude

Thanks for all the kind words last week. I was feeling a little dark and it's so nice to know you are all out there. So this week, the weather has warmed, and though we hope there is still a little spunk left in winter, we can't help turning our minds toward spring. In that spirit, we sent our seed order in (how does it get bigger every year??), Andy tapped a maple just to be sure the sap isn't running yet, and the house is filled with the sweet scent of paper whites. At 5:30 in the evening there is now enough light to walk outside. As always, so much to be thankful for.

A girl who remembers nursing fondly enough to keep at it with her babies. Good little mama.

New snowshoes, a good companion (that's my dad's sweet pooch Abbey), and just enough snow to still tromp.

Sledding at Nana's.

A sweet weekend with friends and a good dog who happily suffered all three kids at once.

And finally, snow sticky enough for a snowman!
