Elsa turned 6 months old this week. You love her SO much. Seriously, your papa and I keep waiting for the novelty of having a baby sister to wear off and it just doesn't. You can't get enough of her. You ask for her first thing in the morning, you ask to hold her 450 times per day, if she is within your reach even a little bit you are kissing and smooching and making baby sounds at her until your mama and papa think we might go crazy, you kiss her just before you go to bed. You bring her toys, you jump around to make her laugh, you pretend your dolls are her, you NEVER miss a diaper change. You kind of share. You are almost always gentle, but not always quiet.
Your papa and I sometimes feel bad that the main thing you get into trouble for is "loving" your sister too much. If you had it your way I think you'd just glue your face to hers.
Of course, she thinks you are the best thing that ever happened to her (outside of the all night milk diner). She saves her biggest smiles and giggles for you. She adores you.
Ah sisters. Neither your papa or I ever had one. It's pretty amazing to watch. Soon there will be reading and snuggling together, building forts, riding horse, picking berries, whispering in the dark, holding hands and watching the stars...and that's just the good stuff. You keep on giving all that love, big sister. We'll do what we can to help it grow.
