another birthday weekend

Another May birthday celebrated. Mama's. And what a sweet, quiet weekend it was. My mom's chocolate cheesecake, a fat pile of new books, a bit of herb gardening, homemade cards, lots of kisses and some good long hours in the dirt with my girls. I can't think of a better way to spend a birthday weekend.

I've got some other thoughts brewing and may try to get back in this space again this week. In the meantime hope you have found some shade!
