Just like that. Maybe, just maybe, that was what the last few weeks have been all about. This girl, not one to take risks, decided this week that she wanted those training wheels off. One day, without discussion. Off. And with one little helping push from papa, she was on her own.

I'm sure there is a parenting lesson here: Be there when they need you, then stand back, watch, admire, try not to get in the way.
