Elsa Mae turned four this week.  Four.  This girl, so full of spunk and joy.  This girl so full of determination and independence.  This girl, who sings and dances, digs in the dirt, catches chickens, giggles and snuggles and brings us so much love.  This girl requested a "sunshine cake".  Just as it should be.  Just as she is.  A bright spot in our lives, a sun ray of laughter and light. 

A morning of sweet gifts from sister, special birthday book from papa, birthday story from mama, and of course, blueberry birthday pancakes on request.  Later in the day a small gathering of friends and family at the park.  She couldn't have been happier.  With visits from Grampy and Nina and Poppy, the party lasted all week as did her smile.
