A super special person in our life turned 70 last week. Despite a bit of grumbling on his part, we convinced him it was worth a little celebration. It turned out pretty awesome. By his standards especially. A cake and silly song with his favorite grand-daughters, a few good friends and one thoughtful sister who flew in from Florida, a fire in his tree (oh he's been planning this moment for months, this man who loves fires) and a very awesome son-in-law to help put it out after the tree came down, and of course a finger-biter of a badminton game with his favorite daughter (see how shell-shocked he looks...o.k. he beat me by one point).
You light our lives old Otter. With your fires, your mischief, your generosity and love.
