thankful

We spent Thanksgiving with Andy's family in Minnesota. It was a big, raucous and fun gathering. Iris has 3 first cousins that she adores and several (second, third, forth?) cousins that she got to know again as well. The day after the BIG meal we went for a hike at our favorite park, Crow Hassen, with Andy's brother Matt, his two girls and Andy's dad. It was a beautiful, sunny, crisp day. Much to be thankful for.

Iris adores her cousin Mary Morgan (here with Iris and Papa) who goes to all lengths to entertain and is the sweetest girl you'll ever meet. Iris will be talking about Mary Morgan until she sees her again at Christmas!
Coming home always feels good too. We were hardly in the door with the fire just built when Iris found camp mats and blankets and curled up with Bunny and Trudy for some good reads by the fire.

Sounds like a wonderful Thanksgiving! I love reading the blog - sweet little notes and wonderful photos. Keep it up! We are longingly awaiting snow here - it's a month behind normal schedule - but have decided to go to the snow if it won't come to us. Going to Canada for a week of remote backcountry hut skiing. Will post some pics when I return. Love, Mary
